How I Got To Hollywood and How you Can Too. Gil Darnell.

Gil’s career started in the UK with credits including Hollyoaks, Holby City, Doctors, Brookside and The Bill. After relocating to Los Angeles, he promptly turned out a strong performance in Entourage, as well as many memorable commercial spots including the #1 Super Bowl Commercial of 2011 for Audi. Gil credits his Ketel One advertising campaign for transforming his career and saving him in the nick of time from returning to a ‘normal’ job! His career then took off with feature films including All Things to All Men with Gabriel Byrne, Amnesia, Don’t Look Up” and the 2014 release of Redirected, an outrageous black comedy with Vinnie Jones. Gil starred as Christian de Guise in the CW’s hugely successful period drama Reign and can currently be seen on Netflix playing Donnie in the movie The Ghost Who Walks.

One of life’s good guys, Gil has taken the time to share his story with us and offer some valuable advice to his fellow actors.

George Stiles is probably best known for his collaborative work with the writer Anthony Drew. Between them they have won umpteen gazillion awards and written six musicals including Honk, the recent production of Peter Pan starring Richard Wilson and Just So which has been optioned by Steven Spielberg for feature animation. Georgeís other work includes the shows Tom Jones, Moll Flanders and The Three Musketeers as well as music for Sam Mendesí Twelfth Night and Uncle Vanya at the Donmar Warehouse.

Susie Amy was born in London in 1981, and brought up in Surrey. Although she always studied drama, she went to a regular academic school all her life. Her career began when an agent spotted her in 1999 while she was doing the play After Juliet by Sharman McDonald at the National Theatre in London. Over the next two years she got parts in Sirens, The Swap, My Family and the sitcom Sam’s Game.

She became a household name in 2001 when she was chosen to play Chardonnay Lane in the ITV drama Footballers’ Wives.

Since then she has recorded a second series of Footballers Wives and in 2002 was chosen for the lead role of Valentine D’Artagnan in the Hallmark Production La Femme Musketeer, starring alongside Michael York, Gerard Depardieu and Nastassja Kinski. Susie has also appeared in Hollyoaks and the films Modigliani and House of 9.
