These are carefully programed to develop important business skills such as team work, managing client relationships, creative thinking and communication. Workshop Content Duration Requirements
Giving Presentations Presentations involve many of the skills used by professional actors including voice projection, speech control and engaging your audience. Take this course and let our expert staff give you the tools to make your presentations work. Various A room with seats, projector, flip chart or white board and markers.
Communication In a fast paced environment clarity of communication is essential particularly when dealing with clients.
Use this invaluable workshop to develop telephone and face to face communication skills including gesture, expression, voice and empathy.		 6 hours A private space large enough to accomodate the participants. Desks and chairs.
Movement Examine the unique qualities and language of movement through dance, contact and representation. 2, 4 or 6 hours A large, uncarpeted empty space and participants in loose, comfortable clothes.
Stage Fighting Big hitting without the bruises. Let PTC staff guide you safely through the all action art of stage fighting. 2, 4 or 6 hours A large empty space with mats, grass or soft flooring and participants in loose, comfortable clothes.
Interpreting Text Examine recurrent storylines and themes and improve your understanding and performance of selected works from a number of eras. A full day or multiple days An available space. Pencils and paper.
Mask Making Learn how to make your own mask and explore the various uses of masks in the theatre. Two split sessions (leaving time for masks to dry) An available space.
Creating Drama Get to grips with the essential elements of drama including character, conflict, plot, pace and excitement. A full day or multiple days An available space.
Making The Musical Work with a professional writer, director and musical director to develop an original new musical in any style or genre. A full day or multiple days A large empty space
Introduction To Theatre Discover what makes good theatre great through a combination of textual analysis, devised theatre, movement and improvisation. A full day or multiple days A large, uncarpeted empty space and participants in loose, comfortable clothes.


Terms & Conditions
• Personal photographs of our activities can only be taken following completion of a People’s Theatre Company consent form prior to the activity.
• Photographs may be taken for use in People’s Theatre Company publicity. By enlisting in one of our programmes you agree that photographs of activities involving you, your employees, colleagues or other participants may be taken and used for publicity purposes.
• In the interests of safety, no spectators are permitted in activities unless agreed by the Workshop leader.
• All equipment specific to the workshop will be provided, however general equipment such as desks, chairs and marker boards as well as food and a drink may be required.
• Full payment is required with your booking.
• We are not able to refund for sessions that are missed or cancelled by attendees but these can be transferred to a third party.
• The People’s Theatre Company reserves the right to cancel sessions, minimum of three days’ notice will be given to the attendee.
• The People’s Theatre Company shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property during sessions.
• A consent form will need to be completed for any participant with medical requirements.
